SAVE THE DATE – 51st Annual AFS Alaska Chapter Meeting in Ketchikan 2025

We are excited to announce the 51st Annual Meeting of the Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (AFS), scheduled to take place from March 17-21, 2025, in the beautiful town of Ketchikan. This year’s meeting will be hosted at the Ted Ferry Civic Center, and we are eager to gather once again with colleagues, experts, and enthusiasts from across the fisheries community.

Please mark your calendars and save the date for what promises to be an engaging and insightful event. This annual meeting is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, share knowledge, and discuss the latest advancements in fisheries science and management.

A Call for Symposia and Abstracts will be announced soon, and we encourage you to begin considering any ideas or contributions you may wish to share. Your participation is key to making this meeting a success, and we look forward to your input.

Additionally, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our planning committee. If you are interested in getting more involved with our local chapter and helping shape this year’s meeting, please reach out to Whitney at whitney@afs-alaska.org.

Further details, including registration information and a full agenda, will be provided in the coming months. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions you may have.

We look forward to seeing you in Ketchikan next March!
